Have you seen New Moon? If so, how do you think it compared to the book? Was it better or worse than Twilight? Please, no spoilers!

I check my eBay or my LJ.

By the way, Yahoo! sucks. Everyone uses Google.

What (if any) books would you ban from a high school library? Are there certain subjects that you feel are inappropriate for teenagers regardless of literary merit?

The Twilight series.

Okay, in all honesty, I don't think any form of literature should ever be banned. The exception to this is pornographic material, in terms of keeping it away from places it shouldn't be. Obviously, no one wants to see sexually graphic books in schools or in the grocery store (normal people, at least). Otherwise, let people read what they want to read: anytime, anywhere. Every individual has the right to indulge in whatever they please so long as it does not jeopardize the wellbeing of another person. Books are tools for learning and being informed, are sources of entertainment, are outlets for creativity and imagination, are a means for emotional expression, and so much more. They are a hugely important part of life -- not necessarily for every person, but for the world as a whole. Allowing one book and denying another is wholly unacceptable. Where would we be without books?

...Well, Fahrenheit 451. And that would not be pleasant.

I just heard a pack of coyotes howling for a minute or two, which was entirely surprising. I used to hear coyotes very often at my old house, but I hadn't heard any since I moved, almost two years ago. I didn't think they were in my general area, despite living at the foot of a mountain.

Physically, today has been a bad day for me, for a number of reasons.
- I woke up very tired. Not unusual, but still unpleasant.
- The cough I caught with the swine flu is still horrendous -- not painful like it was when I had an all-out fever and such, but more incessant. Sometimes I cough so much and so hard that I get dry heaves. I had a bit of a coughing fit when I went to the store and it somehow pulled the muscles in my lower back.
- I'm having evident arthritis in the knuckles of my left hand; almost anything I do with that hand hurts.
- All day, my eyes are tweaking out from nerves or something, primarily my right eye. It's disturbing, to say the least. Many times today I have felt my eyelids... pulling themselves back? When I look in a mirror, I see that my right eye is much bigger--as in more open--than my left eye. It's extremely uncomfortable. Fortunately it doesn't last long.
- My memory continues to get worse. I forget more things, more often, and in less time. Not a physical ailment, but it's something that bothers me every single day.

I've hardly been alive, and I already feel like I'm falling apart. It's crap.

Got some new low-rise Chucks today, as well as a grey polo shirt. Bet you can't guess why in the world I would buy a grey polo. Yeah. Nothing really eventful happened today.

My cat Lisa. She is my sweet little baby, and I love her with all of my heart. The comfort and warmth she brings me can be compared to nothing. Her company amounts to more than the company of most people I know, I must admit. Knowing there is such a darling creature that loves me and depends on me above all else is simply wonderful. I am so grateful that I have her as my own. I honestly don't know where I'd be, if anywhere, without the affection she gives to me. For one, I wouldn't have a purring bundle of warmth on top of me when I sleep at night.

If she doesn't count, since she was a very early "Christmas gift" (I adopted her on September 11th), then it would have to be the chibi Pyramid Head figurine that my sister bought for me last Christmas. Freaking amazing present if I ever saw one. I love him.
